Bryan Kohberger: Can Defense Team Get DNA Evidence Supressed & More
The defendant in the Idaho 4 case, Bryan Kohberger, is trying, through his defense team, to get some key pieces of evidence suppressed, or thrown out. One key piece of evidence the defense is trying to get suppressed is the DNA. Kohberger's defense team believes the DNA match to their client may have been obtained illegally. They seem to be saying they believe law enforcement obtained the match by violated some people's privacy rights. Those people entered their DNA profiles into public databases, some of which share the results; some of which do not share the results.
In today's video, I share one case where touch DNA, like the DNA found on the leather sheath lying below victim Madison Mogen's body, led the police to the wrong person. It is a riveting tale that proves touch DNA can be transferred from one person to another through other people. Take a listen.
